Not directly. Apple Notes on your iPhone syncs to your Mac through iCloud; Cohestry on the Mac imports from there, and the imported notes sync to Cohestry on your iPhone.

No. Apple Notes is read-only to Cohestry: nothing is edited, moved or deleted. Changes you make in Cohestry stay in Cohestry.

Titles, text, dates and (optionally) attachments come across. Rich formatting, checklist state, drawings and scans are not reproduced, and password-protected notes are skipped.

It does: you can link one note to another in Apple Notes, and export a note as Markdown on the Mac. Cohestry adds something different: a map of your whole archive and connections it finds that you never made yourself.

Mostly deterministically, on your device: notes that share a reference, a rare name, or enough distinctive vocabulary and tags get a line, and every line can tell you why. Optionally, Apple Intelligence can suggest further connections, each grounded in quotes from the notes. More on connections.

No. The example Brain uses fictional notes and is fully unlocked so you can explore every connection. The free/Pro split applies only to your own notes in the app.

No. They were written for the website by an invented person, and contain no personal or customer data.

Your notes are stored on your devices and, if you use iCloud, synced through your own private iCloud database. There are no Cohestry servers holding your notes, no analytics SDK and no advertising. Privacy policy.

Local reflection and AI tag suggestions use Apple's on-device model through Apple Intelligence. The deterministic connections use no language model at all.

No. The deterministic connections, the map, Today's insight and everything else work without it. Local reflection needs a device that supports Apple Intelligence.

A Pro feature on the Mac that lets MCP-compatible tools (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf and Gemini CLI) search and read the notes you allow, and propose changes you review. How it works.

Only as you allow. Agent access starts off; when on, the default mode is Suggest, where every write arrives as a proposal and nothing changes until you accept it. There is no delete tool.
